The problem is that she didn't have to make that new album as quick as she did. She absolutely has the time and capital to take her time and produce something good

Honestly, this album was also a hit, but I admit that somehow over the years, Taylor's "authenticity" has been lost when it comes to her music, especially when you look at her old albums.

I think that all of the negative comments about Taylor is unjustified and a bunch of bullshit…look where she came from and how hard she worked to make a dream come true. She’s put in the work and time, so what if this album isn’t your favorite. I think she’s learned a lot and paid her dues…leave her alone. Anyone that knows her personally will tell you she’s a genuine good person and that says something, especially with all the hate going on around us. This is her dream let her have it!!!

Something about pay-walling the snippets of behind the scenes content is truly irksome and indicative of the level of capital/market she is willing and able to participate in. Every piece of a creative process should not have to live for cash.

Criticizing the behind-the-scenes voice memos for being ‘unpleasant’ might be a step too far. It’s the working process of an artist that she didn’t have to share. And as for Max Martin and Shellback seemingly taking a back seat: The name emblazoned on all of this is ‘TAYLOR SWIFT’. They should take her direction; she should sell them her vision. The other way around would be worse. I can agree that Showgirl doesn’t have the same draw as reputation, but it’s entirely unworthy of the outsized vitriol it’s receiving.
